Damayanti Buchori buchori

Damayanti Buchori (Dami) is an insect ecologist and evolutionary ecologist by training. Dami is an academic staff member of the Department of Plant Protection, Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. She currently holds the position of the Director of the Center for Transdisciplinary and Sustainability Sciences (CTSS) at Bogor Agricultural University (IPB University), a post she held since 2018. She is the Chair of Penabulu Foundation, a non-profit Organization member of Oxfam International. Since 1997-2004 she became a Program Coordinator for the Wildlife Trust, a non-profit Organization based in New York and is a member of the Wildlife Trust Alliance. In 2013-2016 she became a member of the IPBES (Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) Task Force on the Global Pollination Report: Pollinators, Pollination and Food Production. As a scientist, Dami has won several awards including ATBC Honorary Fellow, IPB University Most Cited Author in the Natural Sciences, MAB by LIPI Award and Whtiley Award.
