Jalil Rasheed joined Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI) in September 2022 after nearly two decades of experience in global firms where he served in a variety of key leadership roles. Jalil has expanded the Asia Pacific region to five countries, including Indonesia, India, Philippines, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste. 

Prior to TBI, Jalil was the Group CEO of Berjaya Corporation Berhad, one of Malaysia’s largest conglomerate businesses. Jalil was responsible for managing the investment arm with $4.5B worth of assets. Under his leadership, the company turned profitable in the second quarter of his tenure, after six consecutive quarters in the red. He was also a member of the board of directors for Cardiff City Football Club, KV Kortrijkl and FK Sarajevo.

Jalil received his Bachelors (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of London.
