Poppy S. Winanti is a Professor of International Relations at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). Her research interests are focused on global and regional trade relations in the global political economy, the political economy of natural resources and extractive industries conflict, Indonesia's economic diplomacy, and South-South Cooperation. She holds a Ph.D. in Politics from the University of Glasgow and two Master’s Degrees (an MSc in International Political Economy from the LSE and an MPP from the KDI School of Public Policy). Her recent publications include state capacity in energy transition localizing global norms in extractive industries, resource nationalism, regulatory framework on IPR in Indonesia, Indonesia-Australia trade relations in the IndoPacific Era, and Indonesia’s South-South Cooperation.
