Rodrigo Urquiza
Head of the International Affairs Unit, Ministry of Mining, Chile
Head of the International Affairs Unit at the Ministry of Mining of Chile. He is a lawyer with long experience in international regulatory strategies and multilateral negotiations. He is member of the UN Secretary General Panel on Critical Energy Transition Minerals. He also is the Chilean Secretariat of the Mining International Treaty between Chile and Argentina. He was the Chair at the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum (APEC) Mining Task Force and member of the Legal and Technical Commission at the International Seabed Authority. He has a master’s degree on Taxation Design at the University Adolfo Ibañez, Chile, and a Certificate on Finance from the Georgetown University, USA.
