Togu Pardede Pardede
Togu Santoso Pardede is Director of Regional Development at the Ministry of National Development Planning/National Development Agency and affiliate researcher at the Department of Urban Engineering, University of Tokyo.
He obtained a master's degree in International Development at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS) and a bachelor's degree in urban planning from the Bandung Institute of Technology.
He has a fairly broad range of expertise, including sustainable development, spatial and urban planning, as well as planning nature-based solutions such as geopark development.
He has worked at Bappenas for more than 20 years. He started his career in the field of spatial planning and has been placed in other sectors such as mining and geothermal. His position as Director of Regional Development is responsible for coordinating and formulating national strategic policies to accelerate and comprehensively increase the capacity of regional governments relating to rural-urban development, governance and apparatus, as well as regional finances.
He is also actively involved in the Association of Indonesian Geologists and the Association of Indonesian City and Regional Planners and has taken part in a series of courses and training from local and international institutions
